The Lunging Round Pen is Red River's most popular and versatile round pen for sale. The Lunging round pen can be used as an exercise, lunging, or a round pen to work with broke horses that need behavior modification. The round pen uses our new PL panel. This panel is our entry level medium duty panel. We call it "PL" for "panel light", but don't let the name fool you, the PL is tough panel, designed to fit your everyday needs. This panel is the heaviest lightweight panel on the market today. The PL comes with chain connections, making it easier to set up on uneven ground, and provides a stronger hold to your pens when using posts for securement (recommended). The legs are constructed out of 1-1/4" square tubing, and have plastic caps (optional) on the ends to ensure no penetration from outside elements. The PL has 6 1-1/4" saw-cut round bars, and form fitted braces for a stouter build. The PL panel is consistent quality for your money.

Level-Up Round Pens

The "Level Up" round pen is designed to offer horseman an economical 6' tall round pen for sale. The "Level Up's" panels are from our PMT panel. This panel is our medium-weight panel, and entry level heavy panel. It is designed for roping arenas, round pens, or temporary pens. The PMT Panel is 6' tall, 10' long, and weighs 66 pounds. It features chain connectors which make setting up your pens on uneven ground easier, and also stronger with the use of posts for securement (recommended). The bars on the PMT are fabricated out of 1-1/4" round tubing, are 16 gauge. The legs on the PMT panel are 1-1/4" 16 gauge as well and feature a steel dome welded cap. Even though this panel is 6' tall, we do not recommend it for draft horses, it will be to light for them. The round pen comes with a matching 6' walk thru gate. The gates are double-framed and feature a cowboy latch, providing a more efficient way to open and close gates via horseback.

Breaking Round Pens

The "Breaking" round pen is one of the heaviest, galvanized round pens for sale on the market. The Breaking round pen features all of the qualities of the Level Up, but is best used for breaking or training tough horses. The portable panels used create a safe environment for both the rider and the horse. The Breaking round pen uses Red River's new PHT Panel is an extremely strong and stout panel. The PHT is our heavy panel, and can be used as a permanent round pen, roping arena, or working pens to last a lifetime. It is rigid, and can be used for rough stock or horse stalls. The PHT panel is 6' tall, 10' long, and weighs over 100 pounds. The legs on the PHT panel are constructed from 1-1/2" square tubing, and feature a steel dome cap. There are 7 saw-cut, 14 gauge, 1-1/2" round tubing bars.This panel has chain connections that provide easy hookup on uneven ground and make your arena or round pens much stronger with the use of posts for securement (recommended) or add our exclusive clamping system to make your round pen more like a site built round pen. Bronc Buster Round Pens

The "Bronc Buster" is designed to withstand the toughest livestock out there. The panel used in this round pen is our "extreme heavy-duty bull tough" panel which makes this round pen one of the toughest round pens on the market and the heaviest round pen for sale that Red River Arenas offers! Our all new PBT "Bull-Tough" panel can be summed up into one word- "indestructible". Weighing 175 pounds, it's designed to hold anything you put in it. This panel is designed for the rankest of rough stock. The PBT panel is for permanent installation, and is not an easily portable panel. Each livestock panel is 6 feet tall and 10-foot long. The legs are 2" square 14 gauge tubing with a pressed steel cap welded on top of each let. There are 7 bars on the PBT panel that are constructed from 2" round tubing, 13 gauge, saw-cut bars. It also has a 1-1/2" square tubing, 14-gauge brace to provide the panel with a bullet-proof build. The Bronc Buster round pen comes with a 6' walk thru with cowboy latch to open and close from horseback. The gates are double framed, resulting in an extra strong gate that will last a lifetime. Our gates also feature a slam latch, providing easier opening and closing from horseback, or when working cattle. These panels have chain connections allowing easier set up on uneven ground. For safety, you can upgrade to 2-3/8" galvanized posts for securement (recommended). Common Round Pen Questions

"Why do I need a round pen?"

You technically do not need a round pen, but it does make training, lunging, and riding easier! Younger horses that are not used to lunge lines, can be worked to teach voice commands and ground manners to get them listening to you. They also learn to be attentive in an area that gives you more control. Trained or broke horses can be lunged in an arena, but occasionally they will need a behavior modification or a place to get the "fresh off", so it is convenient to have a safe area to work them in.

Round pens are not just for horse training! Round pens give novice riders a safe area to learn to ride, and also help riders get comfortable with their horse before going into a pasture or large arena. There is nothing worse than seeing a person in an ER after being drug through the pasture for a novice mistake. At Red River Arenas we say "a round pen is cheaper than a trip to the ER."

"Why do you need to train your horses in a round pen?"

Training horses in a round pen is a common practice among horse trainers and riders. There are several reasons why a round pen is an effective tool for training horses:
1. Encourages Focus and Communication: A round pen provides a small, enclosed space where the horse can focus on the trainer and vice versa. This promotes better communication between the horse and the trainer, and allows the trainer to establish trust and respect with the horse.
2. Provides Safety and Control: A round pen provides a safe environment for training. The enclosed space allows the trainer to control the horse's movements and limit its ability to bolt or run away. "I want a round pen, but do I need a 5' tall round pen, or 6' tall round pen?"

That answer depends on what you will be doing in your round pen. Are you just riding? Or are you training as well? If you are just riding in your round pen and warming up your horse, a 5' tall round pen is all you need. If you are training a horse to listen to you, have a green broke horse, or you have decided to tame a fire breathing dragon- you will need a 6' tall round pen. The 6' height will prevent the horse from hanging his head over the fence or contemplate jumping over the fence- the horse has to keep his focus on you, the trainer. If you are unsure of which height you need- purchase a 6' tall round pen that way you have what you need in case the usage of your round pen changes.

Red River Arenas has a variety of round pens for horses available. Our round pens are designed for those that are breaking or taming a new horse to the individual who just needs to exercise their trained horse. Red River offers a variety of round pen panels featuring pre galvanized tubing and economy packages are also available. Red River Arenas offers packages for 40', 50', 60' and 100' round pens for sale, but if you need a custom-size round pen, Red River Arenas will be glad to help you. As Red River Arenas always says - "Spend Less, Get More" and Red River has a round pen size for you and your budget.

*Shipping- round pens will arrive either common carrier or via our 18 wheeler trucks. If you cannot get an 18 wheeler into your place you need to let us know. You will be responsible for unloading the round pen. If your round pen arrives common carrier the bands will be cut and the driver will hand your panels down to you. If the round pen arrives on our truck you need some way of unloading. We recommend a tractor with forks. No matter the delivery method we need at least 15 business days to ship. Some orders will ship sooner than others.

Red River arenas understands that every horse person may require a different size round pen. To find the number of portable panels needed for your size round pen take the size of the round pen you desire (diameter) x 3.14 divided by the length of the panel you are using in your round pen.

Based on quality, we believe our products to be very competitively priced. Our guarantee to you is that if our products fail due to faulty workmanship, within one year from date of purchase, we will replace the product at no cost "when returned to the factory at the customer's expense".
DELIVERY
Customer is responsible for unloading product. If product arrives common carrier and is damaged: refuse load and full refund including freight will be given. No matter delivery method, if product needs to be returned after delivery has been completed, it is customers responsibility to pay freight back to factory and original freight charge cannot be refunded. A 15% restocking fee will be placed on all orders cancelled or returned.
